Hengistfield
Hengist Field’s state-of-the-art solar installation demonstrates how bespoke renewable solutions can deliver exceptional economic and environmental benefits. By installing a 78 kWp photovoltaic array, we’ve projected £642,039 in energy cost savings over the next 25 years and achieved a robust payback within just four to five years.
Lifetime Savings: £642,030

System Overview
The system comprises 178 Jinko Tiger Neo 440W NType All Black Mono solar panels designed to collect sunlight and convert it into DC electricity. These panels are connected to a SolaX X3 G4 15.0 FIT AC inverter and a SolarEdge Synergy 90kW 3ph (30A) inverter, both of which convert the DC electricity into mains (AC) electricity. To store excess energy generated on sunny days, a SolaX Triple 5.8kWh LFP Battery battery storage system is included. This allows for the use of generated electricity at night. The system also includes all the necessary isolators, wiring, and meters required to connect it safely to the electrical system.
Environmental Benefits
Beyond the balance sheet, Hengist Field’s solar array really packs a green punch. Over its 25-year lifetime, it will prevent the release of more than 3,800 tonnes of CO₂—equivalent to taking nearly 820 petrol cars off the road each year. That’s like powering every home in a small village entirely on sunshine! By offsetting the carbon footprint of over 16,000 trees, this installation not only slashes emissions but also supports cleaner air and healthier communities. It’s renewable energy with a side of fun facts—and a whole lot of planet-loving impact.
